Nose: loaded with honeysuckle, vanilla, cherry, dark fruit, banana bread, pecan and fall baking spice

Palette: caramel, butterscotch, cherry, vanilla, Dr Pepper, cinnamon, char, pie crust, nutmeg, browned butter, marzipan and brown sugar

One of our favorite notes from the tasting pretty much summed this barrel up perfectly: “WOW. Cherry bomb.” 🍒💣

Finish: long, oily, sweet and spicy, carrying those Dr Pepper notes, cherry and red licorice from the palate before transitioning into cinnamon, baking spice, dark chocolate, honey and a smooth, nutty sweetness.

There’s plenty of lingering pepper and char, but underneath it you’ll find flashes of caramel, whipped cream and even banana candy.
